Loving

Thinking yesterday…in the rain in LA. Thinking about loving and the embodiment of it. What does it look like to love well?

Loving myself, loving the other, and loving one another.

There’s something mystical about fog and the mountains (foothills) surrounding this LA Basin. The last time I was here was when I was eight. A different scene entirely…different from my memory.

Today the sun is shining again. It’s warming. Warming my heart.

Last night I watched TV. Something I don’t do frequently. It was good and interesting (I can never turn off A&E when something good is on). The Dixie Chicks have a new album out today which is causing quite a stir. Well…gotta run. I hope your day is full of lots of sun.

Hey Sara, I like those Sunflowers! They look so gorgeous and bring lots of memory from living on a farm as a kid. I woud often take early morning walks around our farm during the sunflower seasons just to enjoy the view. They would all be bending east. Have fun in L.A!

Sara,

It is always good to see what is going on inside that head of yours. Your question, “What does it look like to love well?” is a good one. One that we should continually ask oursleves because it drives is to consider how God has loved us, and when we can begin to grasp that, then we can begin to love others well, which leads to helping them step into the person that God has created them to be. Thanks for the thoughts.

Aaron
